I have a 1988 F-150 with 302 engine. Vehicle would run fine for about 15 miles then shut down, no fire. It won't restart until sits about 3 hours. I have changed out control module and rail line fuel pump. Now it won't refire at all. When it does start, the engine is strong during problem, no trouble at all prior — until it shuts down.

Back in the day, we used to replace ignition distributor thick film module, stator, cap & rotor on the 86-89 models all the time. I believe you can buy a remanufactured distributor and the ignition module at your parts store.
