MPS Expands SPARK Initiative For 2015

Multi Parts Supply (MPS) has announced its SPARK2015 will take place at AAPEX being held Nov. 2-5 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas. This is the second year of the MPS SPARK Initiative, an interactive three-day industry immersion. For SPARK2015, MPS will select 10 Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) Scholarship Fund scholarship winners from across the U.S., providing each an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2015 AAPEX Show.

The SPARK Initiative was developed by MPS to ignite deeper interest in the auto care industry among the next generation of technical and executive professionals. MPS said SPARK2015 will be even bigger this year, with 10 SPARK participants, up from last year’s six. In an element conceived by MPS Chairman Barry Cohn, this year debuts the Veterans of Armed Forces category, ensuring veterans are among the initiative’s participants. Special badging on their MPS Spark2015 shirts will identify veterans.

This year’s selected attendees will again benefit from a personal, one-of-a-kind introduction to the industry, which includes specifically designed and developed programming at the show, meet and greet encounters with key industry leadership and in-show outings orchestrated by MPS.

“SPARK is an MPS initiative, but it’s all the volunteers from the industry who take time out of what may be their busiest week to spend time with these students that make this event,” said MPS President Brian Cohn. “When these students see our industry presented on full display as only AAPEX can do it, they really get it. That’s the big idea.”
