A faulty or burned-up wiring connector at the fuel pump module is common. The fuel sender and fuel pump are one unit inside the fuel tank. The fuel pump side of the connector generates a lot of heat and can melt the connector causing stalling and or fuel gauge inaccuracy. It’s a dangerous job to remove the tank. Have a professional service center do it.
